The Dharma of James Baldwin: What Does it Mean to be Human?
“I love humanity and all people and I want all people to be free…”
The renowned African American writer James Baldwin had much to say about the human condition. But what does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be free? His radical dharma inspires deep and nuanced explorations of these questions within contexts such as self-empowerment, autonomy, and love, all of which are crucial to reaching our highest potential as human beings.
Please join artist/dialogue facilitator Sharyll Burroughs for an intimate in-person experience of inquiry and human connection. Baldwin’s prescient wisdom is a path to human evolution both individually and collectively, a much needed remedy to our fraught divisive society.
The schedule for this event is:
Saturday, July 5 – 10:30 AM – 12.30 PM
Saturday, July 12- 10:30 AM – 12.30 PM
