Debra Elisa Wöhrmann
Debra met Lama Michael and the KCC community soon after she moved to Portland about 14 years ago. She believes sharing stories can save lives. These days she lives a life of writing and contemplation, leads Poetry Play workshops and co-hosts The Humble Poets Open Mic every last Sunday, 4-6pm at The Stacks Coffeehouse. She taught college writing for many years and published her debut poetry collection, You Can Call It Beautiful in 2023. She loves to roam beaches and forest with her husband and dog—and sometimes all by herself.
