  • $200.00 – Your extra contribution makes it possible to offer these events to those who could not otherwise attend
  • $160.00 – Suggested donation both days.
  • $80.00 – Suggested donation one day (or reduced level both days)
  • $40.00 – Reduced level
  • – No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

KCC has the tradition of holding a short retreat over the turning of the new year. This year the schedule is expanded a bit and we’ll incorporate the main practices that we engage at the center. In the morning and early afternoon we will practice shamatha and the bodhichitta practices of loving kindness, compassion and sending and taking. For the last session of the day, we’ll do Chenrezi and a short Tara practice.

At 11:00am on January 1st, there will be a refuge ceremony for anyone who has not taken refuge before. Taking refuge is the formal step of becoming Buddhist. If you have done so already in another tradition, you needn’t take refuge again. You do not have to participate in the retreat to take refuge. If you are interested in doing so, please contact Linda Grove to let her know.
